The Senior Accountant of Contract Administration contributes to AHF’s mission by assisting the Associate Director of Contracts Administration in overseeing timely and accurate financial reporting by reviewing, analyzing, and verifying various business transactions. In this role analytical and organizational skills will be utilized to successfully assist with review, analysis, and verification of various business transactions including all revenues, expenses, and accruals. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for grant-related program budget issues, financial reporting and indirect cost-recovery functions.

As a team member based in Los Angeles, you will demonstrate an in-depth and sophisticated understanding of grant administration issues, functions independently, and is expected to exercise the highest levels of judgment in dealing with grantors and AHF staff. This role is critical to AHF and the Contracts Department as the Senior Accountant assists the Associate Director and National Director of Contracts and contributes to evolving grants contract management infrastructure.

Skills & Abilities/Qualifications:
Advanced accounting knowledge; GAAP
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks including project management and quantitative
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational
Ability to meet critical
Knowledge of managed care (HMO) financing concepts, health care market place, and health delivery systems, would be a plus.
